Hidden Line Removal in 3-D Models

These are three models of a sphere, in their 3D mesh form. These were drawn with 3D Studio Max. The spheres vary in mesh density. Note that the sphere is transparent except for the wire frame. It is difficult to determine which part of the mesh is actually in front.

These are the same three spheres with the hidden lines removed. Now it is obvious that the camera was placed below the spheres, and is looking up. In the previous image, most viewers would agree that it seemed the camera was looking down onto the objects. Note how the mesh density affects the roundness of the spheres.
